STARWOOD PREFERRED CARD OFFERS 30,000 BONUS POINTS THROUGH REFERRAL LINK
6/7/14 UPDATE: Offer is now available to the public. If you’d like to apply through my link you may still. Use the link on www.milesmomma.com main page. Otherwise, I’ve listed the direct lender link below.
American Express is currently offering 30,000 bonus points for new applications of the Starwood Preferred Guest Card. This offer is only available by being referred through a friend. I have not seen a general public offer available. This offer was available last summer and seems to be a annual trend for American and the Starwood Preferred Guest Card. This is a great offer since the normal bonus is 25,000 points and Starwood points are highly valuable and difficult points to earn. You could use 30,000 Starwood points for a 7 free nights at The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta or any other Category 2 hotel and 10 free nights at any Category 1. Now that’s a great bonus!
So if you’d like this offer, feel free to email me and I’ll send you out a referral link to apply. I just need your name and email address. Please email me quickly if you want this card bonus as I only can give 10 referrals. Note, you must apply and be approved by June 30, 2014.
If you have an American Express card yourself, you can also refer your friends and family and receive 5,000 bonus points while they receive 30,000 Starwood points. You can earn up to 55,000 Starwood points through this referral program. Please leave your contact info in the comments sections if you have referrals to give as well.

In my opinion this an extremely valuable rewards card. I carry it in my wallet and use it regularly. The Starwood points have so much flexibility and the resorts you can stay in worldwide are the cream of the crop. Check out the Starwood properties here.
Starwood points can’t be compared to Club Carlson, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt or Hilton points in my opinion. They are valued at a higher level because of the Starwood program and how much money they translate too.
I love Priority Club & Club Carlson but if you want luxury then Starwood delivers just that. I can never have enough Starwood points and I’m extremely selective about when and where I redeem them. IStarwood points are difficult to earn without having the Starwood Preferred Guest card. The only other way is really by paying for stays at Starwood properties which is something I never do or buying a timeshare. The Starwood Preferred Guest Card is absolutely a keeper card and not one to cancel.
TOP THREE REASONS I LOVE STARWOOD POINTS
- You can transfer these points to your favorite airline. Whenever you transfer 20,000 points you receive a 5,000 mile bonus. So 20,000 points equals 25,000 to most all airlines.
- The program has a Cash & Points option which gives you huge savings at high end hotels.
For example, when making a booking you can use only 4,000 points and $60 for one (1) night in a $300/$400+ room. It’s a great way to stretch your points and stay in some really nice hotels.
- 5th night free option – I love this option.

You will notice now the new terminology regarding who can qualify for the bonus offer. “This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had this product.” The rumor that American Express was going to change it’s policy regarding credit card bonuses in May of 2014 was true. If you aren’t aware, American Express use to allow a person to get another card of the same type and receive the bonus if they did not have the card for over 12 months. So for those of you who have never had a Starwood card, there are two possible bonuses here, one business card and one personal card each with a 30,000 bonus point offer.
