HILTON HONORS – GOLD STATUS UPGRADE – STILL LIVE!
Back in December of 2011, there was an offer available to instantly upgrade your Hilton Honors status to Gold for free . Gary at Wing From The Wing writes about all the details. Read his post here for details on how to get the upgrade. He indicates in his post this week that the offer is still viable and the link working based upon readers comments.
I currently have Silver status through my Hilton Honors AMEX. If you apply for this card, you receive instant status. I would benefit from the Gold status but I am not planning use any Hilton Honors points until next April. I’m building up a boat load for our 2013 Great Britain three week adventure. Knowing that this offer will give you the status for 1 year, you should keep that in mind. In my case, I’m going to just wait and see if this offer continues to be viable into May. If it is and I am able to get the stays this May it would continue through my trip next year. This would be a nice perk for our family’s trip. The breakfast and room upgrade would be especially nice. So keep this in mind. Not sure if the offer will still be around but if it is great! Otherwise, I wouldn’t benefit from it anyhow.
