DEALS I WRITE ABOUT
TODAY’S THOUGHTS
Hello Readers,
I just wanted to let you all know how my mind works and what makes me think something is a great deal! Unlike other miles & points bloggers, I am a stay-at-home Mom. I don’t travel except for fun! All the deals I look to do don’t require travel in anyway. I rarely ever pay for miles/points or deals that require money out of my own pocket. I want my miles & points FREE! There are tons of bloggers (some of which I recommend) that blog about all these kinds of deals and you can find this information with them. I want my blog to be different. My target reader is really a leisure traveler like myself. We are a single income family and we don’t have $5,000 to spend buying gift cards for some deal. Sometimes there will be a deal that I might come out of pocket a little but not over $100. Recently, I did the U.S. Airways Grand Slam and I came out of pocket something like $96. I think I spent $9 a piece for miles on my hubby & the children’s accounts. I didn’t blog about the Grand Slam as it was my first year and I was really learning from others. It was a very fun promo. Many of the things I bought I’m giving as gifts for Christmas to family & friends. I don’t blog about my trips (yet). I may someday in the future as time allows. Right now I’m too busy keeping up with this blog and my life as Momma. I have started a Momma Adventures blog and I may do some trip reports in the future. I’ll post a link on that blog when I do.
Well, I just wanted to let you know how I operate the blog. What I write about and what I don’t. Like I said, I will rarely write about deals that would involve you to travel or spend money. I love this hobby and I love that I can earn tons of miles/points truly for FREE! The fact that they are FREE is what makes it so fun! If you have to spend money to get them it takes away from the fun in my opinion. The reason my husband doesn’t bother me about my hobby is because I’m not spending any money doing it. I’m actually earning money in what I call our “travel bank”. My hope is that I can help you too earn money in your “travel bank”. Then when it’s time for your next family adventure you can actually afford to go because it’s FREE or close to it!
