I personally don’t value ThankYou points super high but points are points.  I have them and I’ve found the best use for these points are for hotel or cruise gift certificates.  There are other things you can do with ThankYou points but they sure aren’t the same value as Chase Ultimate Rewards points or AMEX Membership Rewards points.  The biggest drawback is they don’t transfer to any airline like the Chase products that give you Ultimate Rewards points.  For examples:  Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Ink Bold Charge Card, Chase Ink Plus Card, Chase Ink Cash, Chase Ink Classic.  All these cards give you Ultimate Rewards points and also give you the ability to earn 5 points per dollar everywhere.  Read more about how to maximize these cards in my latest post here.  You can also learn much more about Ultimate Rewards points by reading these articles here
.
That being said, if you’ve done a lot of Chase applications lately and need to cool out with that lender, this might be great offer for you to earn some “free travel”.  Isn’t that what it’s all about!  Diversification is the key!

You can also book travel with ThankYou points on their site, or shop with your points.
