BRITISH AIRWAYS VISA – 100,000 AVIOS – OFFER CONTINUES
Just wanted to let all my readers know that the British Airways Chase Visa 100,000 Avios bonus offer has been extended unitl July 18th. I received an email from the New York marketing department that the offer will be available until then. At least this is what they are saying now. Who ever really knows when they pull offers and decide to start offers. So if you’ve been still thinking about apply for this card, don’t think about it too long. You’ve got a few weeks. I would expect the offer to drop to 50,000 Avios as most all Chase offers have been dropping this year.
The British Airways Visa offer is a great offer in that it gives you 50,000 Avios after the first purchase. Almost a “pack of gum” offer but for the annual fee. The annual fee of $95 in not waived but that is alot of Avios for $95. You can easily use it for 2 domestic tickets. If a husband and wife both get the cards, there is 100,000 Avios and 4 domestic tickets for your next family vacation in the bank. No minimum spend to meet for that. To receive the full 100,000 Avios you need to be a big spending and charge $20,000 over the first year. The first $10,000 charged gives you 25,000 Avios and the second $10,000 gives you the final 25,000 Avios. I think this is not really feasible for the average folks, like myself. Remember, that American Airlines is British Airlines main partner in the U.S and American flies everywhere. My family is using 100,000 Avios this fall to fly SFO – BOS. The taxes on the tickets were $20 ($5 each). Pretty affordable if you ask me! You can also fly short little flights that only cost 4,500 Avios in some cases since British Airways now calculates the Avios required based upon a distance chart. So many good uses for these Avios.
Anyway, if you were on the fence with this offer time to decided. These kinds of offers come and go!
