Although this offer isn’t as many bonus points as the U.S. offer, these points are extremely valuable. The Starwood Properties world wide are luxury properties; some of the best in the world. This card will give you the ability to earn Starwood points which are otherwise very hard to earn without actually staying in the properties which is expensive. My Starwood Preferred card is a card I always carry in my wallet. I have many cards I get strictly for the sign up bonus and then they go into my desk drawer, this is not one of them. For more information about the Starwood program and properties, take a look at the many articles I have written in the past. If you’ve been a reader for awhile you know my love for Starwood runs deep. Any Canadian readers who doesn’t have this card would be really wise to add it to your wallet. The annual fee stinks but still the value you will get back over the year if you really use your card regularly will far out way the $120 fee. One night at a category 4 or 5 property can be anywhere from $300 – $600 night and more. I always use mine where ever American Express is accepted. Once you experience the Starwood properties your love will grow too! It’s like you need your fix! Starwood is a true addiction for me! I don’t mind using Priority Club points and staying at Holiday Inn with the kiddos but I love the luxury of Starwood.
