Do you ever feel like you are alone out there as a mile and point junkie? No family or friends understand what you do and why you do it. They think you are just plain crazy at times. Well if you aren’t alone! There are plenty of us out here! Many mile and point hounds converse and strategize in forums like Milepoint or Flyertalk. But there are actual conferences, seminars, meetups and megados for people in the mile and point world like us. These conferences are a great way to meet fellow travelers and connect with people of like-mind who do what you do every day. Connecting with friends you’ve known only online in Flyertalk or Milepoint. or meeting some of your favorite bloggers. It’s a great way to learn so much from others in a very short period of time.
Because new conferences and events are increasingly forming all the time, I have a page on my site where you can always look for the latest events and details. If you haven’t found it already, go check it out here. You can find it under the “Resources – Conferences” on the top bar. If you know of anything special events or conferences you think I should list, please feel free to email me.
Below is listed the details of two exciting events coming up this fall! Registration has just opened for these events. If you are interested, I would suggest registering now as these conferences usually get sold out quickly. I attended the Frequent Traveler University in Los Angeles and it was a sell out conference as well. The Frequent Traveler University conference in Virgina, April 26 – 28th has sold out with more than 650 crazy mile & point collectors attending. You’ll never believe this but there is actually a ticket up for bid on Ebay. If you are desperate for a ticket, be the highest bidder and get your seat at the conference. I shouldn’t be surprise though. I had readers emailing me last year looking for tickets at the last minute. I was happy I was able to connect two readers who made a deal.
